Gorge Business Resources is a group of local attorneys, bookkeepers, and business people who have come together as volunteers to help businesses throughout the gorge navigate the resources, options, and assistance available during this crisis. We know how hard these next few months will be for local businesses, and we want to help. Our team is here to answer questions and help businesses understand their options with loan applications, assistance for employees, and more. Small businesses are the core of our community and we want to make sure that you are still standing when life gets closer to normal. We’re here to help you figure out how to bridge the gap until your shops are busy, your seats are filled, and your calendar is packed once more.
The programs and initiatives in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was just passed by Congress are intended to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now. When implemented, there will be many new resources available for small businesses, as well as certain nonprofits and other employers. This website provides information about the major programs and initiatives that will soon be available from the Small Business Administration (SBA) to address these needs, as well as links to additional resources. These include, for example, the Paycheck Protection Program, the Emergency Economic Injury Grant, the Small Business Debt Relief Program, and information about unemployment insurance and tax relief. Links to each are below.
